Stone Soup Fresno

A community partner of the Stop the Hate program

Small group of woman sitting at a yoga classStone Soup Fresno’s Stop the Hate and Share the Love program began as a response to the rise in anti-Asian hate and grew into a broader movement rooted in education, cultural celebration, storytelling and relationship-building.

The program created spaces where children, youth and families could learn from one another, celebrate diverse cultures and build empathy across differences.

Share the Love introduced young children to stories, arts and crafts that reflect cultural identity, character growth and appreciation for others. Youth programming emphasized community giving, volunteerism and leadership, while community impact activities addressed food insecurity, job readiness, basic needs and warm referrals for families who needed trusted support.

For Stone Soup Fresno, the program’s lesson is simple and enduring: lasting change begins with children. While grant funding may end, the organization’s commitment to compassion, cultural understanding and community care continues.
