This one-year initiative is advancing educational equity by offering and strengthening expanded learning programs for students furthest from opportunity in Sutter County.
The Sutter County Expanded Learning Initiative provided funding to nonprofit community-based organizations and education-related organizations serving public school students during the 2022-2023 summer and academic year.
This opportunity was provided by The Center at Sierra Health Foundation with grant support from The San Diego Foundation.
The Funding Opportunity
Grants up to $400,000 are supporting programmatic activities during the school year — before or after school and/or during school breaks — for students ages 5 to 19.
The Center accepted applications from community-based organizations, school districts, county offices of education, direct-funded charter schools, universities and Tribal organizations with established and trusted community relationships.
