During the Stop the Hate grant period, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Civic Empowerment Education Fund (AAPI FORCE-EF) worked with a statewide network of grassroots AAPI organizations to increase civic engagement in communities historically overlooked by traditional campaigns. The organization supported partners in Sacramento, San Joaquin, Fresno, Alameda, Santa Clara, Los Angeles and San Diego counties to run English and multilingual voter outreach programs on issues such as voter education and housing affordability.
AAPI FORCE-EF trained 263 volunteer shifts and 102 paid organizers on strategies and tools to reach low-propensity AAPI voters. From 2023 to 2025, the network supported 22 phone banking and door-knocking programs that engaged 18,273 AAPI voters. For some partner organizations, this was their first time running a civic engagement program, and AAPI FORCE-EF provided coaching to help them meet outreach goals.
The organization also expanded digital civic education, producing content that reached more than 5.6 million people. In 2025, AAPI FORCE-EF organized Know Your Rights teach-ins and partnered with Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, Orange County Civic Engagement Table and The Center on Anti-Hate at the Polls, a training for community-based organizations supporting immigrant communities facing threats of hate and discrimination while trying to vote.
