For nearly a decade, United Against Hate Week has helped communities across California and the country choose belonging over division.
With Stop the Hate support, Not In Our Town expanded the effort beyond an annual week of action into a year-round network that convenes partners, shares resources and creates spaces for communities to respond to emerging challenges together.
Over the past two years, the organization has worked with Stop the Hate grantees, researchers, practitioners and civic leaders on issues including digital hate, artificial intelligence, local organizing, education and community resilience. Recent collaborations with the Center for Countering Digital Hate and USC Annenberg brought research and practical strategies to educators, local officials and community leaders.
United Against Hate Week remains the flagship annual mobilization each October, while Not In Our Town continues to expand year-round learning and partnership. The work reflects a core belief that preventing hate requires collaboration across sectors, identities and communities.
